Tawhitiwhiti stakes its claim with the 2021/22 Māori Housing papakāinga investment programme and the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing Acceleration Fund (Infrastructure)
Documentation has been filed with the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing for funding for the existing and planned infrastructure. 7 transitional homes and initially 9 homes on the Tāwhitiwhiti Site have been proposed. Comprehensive site planning has now been completed, funded via a Te Puni Kōkiri Housing Programme Feasibility Grant.
